(W)hole ~ Bills

All work for my first project back at college on the Painting Drawing and Printmaking course at Plymouth College of Art. The title for this project was a provocation rather than an outline of what we specifically needed to do. (W)hole as in Whole and Hole. After brainstorming several times I decided to work on the topic of Hole in terms of the feeling of loss. This was centered around the death of my cat Poppy ( who always responded to Bills) of 22 years. Her death affected me deeply as I'd never been to any funerals within living memory hers was the only death I could comprehend for a while. I have completed a few typical pet portraits as well as paintings, experiental drawings and prints using lino.
